Two lovely children brought us together. They are always very little in our eyes like 小 不 点 and hence our store name littlebookdot.
Like all parents, we want to give the best to our precious children and hope that they have bright futures. Thus, we like to focus on their interests and instil a love for reading. In addition, providing them the right environment at home with good books within their reach.
Singapore’s bilingual educational policy system has been described as ‘world-leading’. Children are expected to be good in both English and their own mother tongue in school. However, we all know how difficult it is for a child from an English-speaking home to learn Mandarin. How can we help our children to learn Mandarin in a stress-free manner? Reading Chinese books to children when they are young is one effective way to help children get familiarized with the Chinese literature and develop a love for reading Chinese books.
We choose books with the children’s interests in mind. Beautiful picture books, interactive books, favourite characters books, brain training activity books are among the collections in our store. We will also consider whether the books are rich in educational content or inspiring with great values.

双语政策一向是新加坡教育体系的骄傲，如何培养孩子成为双语精英是每位家长最关切的课题；他们关切的大前提是英语成了这大环境的媒介语，而华文也渐渐不容易让孩子接受。正所谓：“千里之行始于足下”，让孩子从小培养阅读华语书籍的习惯是一个务实的选择，本店也顺应这股需求而创业。
